About Timeless Biotech

Timeless Biotech is a healthcare technology company founded in 2023 with a focus on advancing menopause clinical care. We're a small, focused team of engineers, clinicians, and healthcare operations professionals united by a shared belief that menopause deserves better clinical attention and better data.

Why Menopause?

Menopause affects roughly 25 million people in the United States. It's a significant life transition that can span 10+ years. Despite its prevalence and impact, menopause care remains fragmented:

  • Healthcare providers lack standardized data collection tools
  • There's limited aggregated data on menopause treatment outcomes and effectiveness
  • Provider approaches to menopause care vary widely, with limited evidence-based guidance
  • Patient experiences are often inconsistent and frustrating

We saw an opportunity to address this gap by building a data platform specifically designed for menopause clinical care.

The Company Today

Timeless Biotech is based in San Francisco with a small, distributed team. We're venture-backed and profitable on our core operations. Our focus is entirely on the MenoTime platform—we don't have side products or business lines. This focus allows us to do one thing and do it well.

MenoTime Product Overview

MenoTime is a web-based clinical data platform for healthcare providers. It enables systematic collection, aggregation, and analysis of de-identified menopause patient data.

Key Features

Data Collection: MenoTime provides standardized electronic forms for capturing menopause clinical data, including: - Patient demographics and medical history - Symptom assessments (vasomotor symptoms, genitourinary atrophy, mood changes, etc.) - Treatment information (hormone therapy, non-hormonal options, lifestyle interventions) - Follow-up outcomes and treatment adjustments - Provider notes and clinical impressions

De-identification: All data is de-identified according to HIPAA standards before aggregation. Patient names, medical record numbers, and other direct identifiers are stripped or hashed.

Data Aggregation: MenoTime aggregates data from multiple clinics and providers into a centralized database. This pooled data represents current menopause care practices across diverse clinic settings.

Analytics & Reporting: Providers and clinics can access reports including: - Population health dashboards (symptom prevalence, treatment patterns, outcomes) - Benchmarking reports (how your clinic compares to standards) - Trend analysis (how patient outcomes change over time) - Data exports for research and quality improvement initiatives

Audit & Compliance: Every data submission and access is logged. We maintain detailed audit trails for HIPAA compliance and can generate compliance reports on demand.

How It Works: The Data Flow

1. Provider Registration & Clinic Setup

A clinic signs up for MenoTime. We onboard their clinical staff and configure their clinic's data collection protocols (which forms, which fields, etc.).

2. Patient Data Collection

Providers collect menopause clinical data through MenoTime's web interface or through integrations with EHR systems. Patients may contribute data directly (for certain fields) or providers may enter data collected during clinical visits.

3. Data Submission

At the end of each collection period (weekly, monthly, etc. based on clinic preference), the clinic submits their data. MenoTime validates the data for completeness and quality.

4. De-identification

MenoTime automatically de-identifies all patient records: - Remove or hash direct identifiers - Generalize dates to reduce re-identification risk - Apply HIPAA Safe Harbor or Expert Determination rules - Generate de-identified records suitable for research and analysis

5. Data Aggregation

De-identified records are added to the central data repository. MenoTime now contains population-level insights across all participating clinics.

6. Analysis & Insights

MenoTime's analytics engine processes the aggregated data: - Computes population-level statistics - Identifies treatment patterns and outcomes - Generates benchmark data - Detects trends and anomalies

7. Reporting & Access

Clinics can access reports and data downloads through the MenoTime portal. They gain insights into how their patient population compares to others and how outcomes have changed over time.

Key Stakeholders

Healthcare Providers & Clinics

Our primary customers. They use MenoTime to streamline data collection, gain insights into their patient outcomes, and improve care delivery.

Patients

Patients contribute their data directly (symptom assessments, treatment history) and benefit indirectly through improved provider care.

Researchers & Academics

Academic medical centers, health systems, and independent researchers access our de-identified dataset for menopause research. This advances the evidence base for menopause care.

Payers & Health Plans

Payers may use aggregated, de-identified MenoTime data to understand treatment patterns and outcomes, informing coverage policies and provider networks.

Regulators

We work with FDA, CMS, and state health departments as needed to maintain compliance and demonstrate data protection.

Business Model

MenoTime operates on a per-clinic subscription model:

  • Base subscription: Annual subscription fee per clinic, includes basic data collection and reporting
  • Premium features: Optional add-ons such as advanced analytics, EHR integrations, and white-label reporting
  • Research partnerships: Select academic and pharmaceutical partners pay for access to aggregated, de-identified data
  • Implementation services: Custom onboarding and configuration services for large health systems

Revenue is predictable and growing as we add clinic customers.

Company Size & Structure

We're a lean team of about 20 people:

  • Engineering (8): Backend, frontend, DevOps, QA
  • Clinical & Operations (6): Clinical advisors, product managers, operations staff
  • Business & Support (4): Sales, customer success, finance, HR
  • Leadership (2): CEO, COO

We operate with minimal hierarchy. Engineers have direct input into product decisions. Clinicians work closely with engineering on data validation. Everyone touches customer issues.

Strategic Direction

Over the next 24 months, we're focused on:

  1. Expanding clinic network: Growing from ~15 active clinics to 50+ clinics across the US
  2. Deepening clinical insights: Building more sophisticated analytics and machine learning models on our dataset
  3. EHR integrations: Making it easier for clinics to use MenoTime by integrating with major EHR systems
  4. Research partnerships: Establishing partnerships with academic medical centers and enabling peer-reviewed research using our data
  5. Regulatory pathway exploration: Exploring potential FDA regulatory pathways if we develop clinical decision support features

Competitive Landscape

Few companies focus specifically on menopause data. We have advantages:

  • Clinical expertise: Our team has deep menopause expertise
  • HIPAA-first design: Built with compliance from the start
  • Provider focus: We understand clinic workflows and EHR integration
  • Data asset: Our growing de-identified dataset becomes more valuable over time

Our risks:

  • Large EHR vendors (Epic, Cerner) could build similar features
  • Competing menopause-focused startups could enter the space
  • Healthcare reimbursement changes could impact our customer base
